RiverView Foundation Accepts Donation from Crookston High School Leo Club - 3/31/2010
RiverView Foundation recently accepted a $500 donation from the Crookston High School Leo Club designated towards the renovation of RiverView’s radiology department.
“The mission of our Leo Club has always been to serve others,” said Leo Club advisor Mary Ann Odland. “We appreciate this opportunity to be a small part in this outstanding RiverView project. In doing so, we are accomplishing our purpose of helping others by assuring that they have the best healthcare available.”
Renovation of RiverView’s radiology department is necessary to accommodate the new CT and MRI equipment that will be installed in the coming months. The project entails installation of new ceiling tiles, flooring, and a wider lead lined door, as well as modifications to the existing heating and ventilation system and electrical system to meet the specifications of the new equipment.
“The Foundation Board of Director’s has committed $200,000 to this project,” said Foundation Director Kent Bruun. “I sincerely appreciate the Leo Clubs efforts in helping us achieve our goal.” The Leo Club also helped the Foundation with the Giving Hearts Day online fundraiser, which added an additional $46,000 to the renovation project.
